Nuova Eletta (Italy) is acquired. LPI Systèmes
Moteurs SA (France) is acquired. Our new plant in Follonica, Italy starts
production of hoses for power-steering and air-conditioning. MARK IV
Automotive buys out its JV partner and works with the Brazilian fuel-market
from two wholly owned companies, Daytec SA and Tecalon SA. Production within
Power Transmission starts in a new plant established in Cordoba, Argentina.
Dayco Argentina is a wholly owned subsidiary to MARK IV Automotive. |

In Melbourne, Australia a new plant is
established for Fluid Handling production and assemblies. A new distribution
center in Fayetteville, NC, USA is opened. It is a new, more efficient 500,000
sqft Center for the aftermarket distribution. The decision is taken to
establish production of Air Intake Manifolds in Montreal, Canada during 1999
for the North American OEM market |

market. Lombardini (Italy) is acquired. Ruggerini (Italy) is acquired.
CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) product range is acquired from Piaggio
(Italy). The plant in Montreal, Canada starts production of Air Intake
Manifolds for the North American OEM market. |
